Below please find the results from the community survey for Mt. Abe.
Here are some highlights:
· Majority of responders have students in the ANESU school district.
· Bus is the greatest mode of transportation used by students to travel to Mt. Abe
· Overwhelming response to support a pool facility (80%)
· A second gym space should be considered, many comments in both directions were provided.
· Improve security with renovation of entrance/lobby/reception o allow better visibility of visitors
· Best Features: Pool, Fields, Location, Community, Staff, Students, Program, beautiful grounds
· Least desired features: Bathrooms, Classrooms, Dark building and interior, Locker Rooms, Entrance, Lack of natural light
· Successful features at other schools: Auditorium, Natural Light, Welcoming Entry/Atmosphere, Community access to Library, Spaces for kids to gather
· Better serve the community: more access, activities, common spaces that community can utilize, auditorium, gym/2nd gym/rec classes at gym and pool
· Other thoughts shared: concerns for cost/how the project will be paid for; cost effective solutions
